Our story

I am Geta, the founder and heart of Get a Cluj Tour, a guest-centric travel agency based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. My passion is crafting unique travel experiences just for you.

My background includes licenses in foreign languages, geography and history. In 2007 I earned my National Guide certification and became a qualified Travel Manager in 2008. Through extensive work in the back office of various travel businesses, I gained a comprehensive understanding of the large variety of travel operations.

Finally, 2016 marked a big step: the opening of Hayland Express incoming travel agency. It proudly uses the brand name Get a Cluj Tour. Yes, this is indeed a playful nod to my own name.

For four years, I partnered with my brother. We shared this family-owned business. However, the pandemic brought a major challenge and change, leading to the end of our partnership.

In a country where traditional views can still see business ownership and guiding as men’s jobs, I now proudly lead this travel agency as a one-woman show. All planning and owning responsibilities fall to me. I also often personally guide your unforgettable adventures. Whenever needed, for larger groups or specialized trips, collaboration occurs with a select network of passionate local colleagues.
